The objective of this course is to understand the risks of gangs pose to children and how to deal with your foster child if they are in a gang.

Once you’ve completed this course, you’ll have a clear knowledge of:
- What a gang is and the risks they are to children especially looked after children.
- How to prevent, spot and help with your foster child if they appear to be joining a gang.
- If a child is in a gang, what you can do to reduce the risks they face.
- Understand the responsibilities that you, the local authority, and schools have in supporting your foster child.
- Understand the impact gang involvement can have on you, your family and your foster child.
